Poem: You-Shaped Hole

There is a deep, deep crevice,

Cut deep into my soul.

It is the shape of you,

It is a you-shaped hole.

It deepens and it deepens,

It splinters and it grows.

But you’re the only one,

Who knows just where it goes.

And that is where you meet me.

At the very core.

A place that no one’s seen,

Or ever been before.

But you are right at home here,

Deep inside my soul.

Fusing irreversibly,

Within that you-shaped hole.
